Grading
This months grading will be on Sunday, 23 October and will be held in the
sports hall at Preston School. The grading will be split into two sessions
as follows:
| 10:00 - 12:00 |
Students grading to 6 kyu or below (white and yellow belts) |
| 12:00 - 16:00 |
Students grading to 5 kyu or above (green belts and above) |
Students grading to black belt or higher must attend for the whole day.
Please remember to bring:
- Licence (if your instructor hasn't already got it)
- Gi (clean and ironed)
- Belt
- Plain white T-shirt to wear under gi top (if female)
- Sparring gear (6 kyu - green belts - and above)
- Inhaler (if required)
- Medication (if required)
- Money for grading and belt (if not standing order)
- Students grading to black belt or higher are requested to supply 2
passport-sized photos for certificates
Best wishes to all that are grading - just remember to stay relaxed and do
your best.

Shihan Stoddern
Shihan Ian Stoddern, 6th Dan Tsuen-Mo-Luen, will be visiting the UK at the end of October.
Shihan Stoddern will be chief examiner at the grading on 23 October.
He will also be teaching at regular classes during his visit and at a number
of special additional classes, including use of traditional weapons, we hope to arrange.

British Sports Martial Arts Premiership
Excellent achievement by all five competitors that attended the BSMAP tournament on
Sunday, 11 September, especially in the under-16 Japanese Kata section where there were
many competitors.

his first fight since moving up into this category.
